The IFMA Malaysia Chapter is committed to elevating the standards of Facility Management (FM) in Institution of Higher Learning (IHLs) Malaysia. As part of this mission, we recognize university programs that align with global FM competencies, industry best practices, and the professional pathways advocated by IFMA.
Through this recognition, IFMA Malaysia aims to strengthen collaboration with higher education institutions, promote FM curriculum excellence, and support the development of future-ready facility management professionals. These recognized programs serve as important academic pathways that complement IFMA’s certification tracks and advance the quality, credibility, and visibility of FM in higher education institutions in Malaysia.
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)
Our CEPS programme is officially recognized by Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) as part of their continuous professional development pathway for construction and facility management professionals.
Program Recognized:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Civil Engineering – CEPS counted as 1 elective / professional certification.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Environmental Engineering – CEPS accepted as supporting certification for graduation requirements.
Validity
Recognition period: 2025 – 2027 (subject to renewal by UniMAP).
Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM)
Our Facility Management programme is officially recognized by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) as a complementary professional certification for students and practitioners in facilities and building management.
Program Recognized:
- Bachelor of Facilities Management (Hons.) – UiTM
Recognized as a professional certification that supports graduate employability and industry readiness.
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Property & Facility Management – UiTM
Accepted as part of the continuous professional development pathway for students and industry professionals.
Validity
Recognition period: 2025 – 2028 (subject to review and renewal by UiTM).
